Work
The projects below reflect work undertaken at points where responsibility for delivery, standards, and outcomes mattered.
Panazz: The Story
Context
Panazz: The Story is a feature-length documentary chronicling the history and international impact of the Trinidadian jazz Steelpan ensemble Panazz. The film had already received public recognition, including the People’s Choice Award at the 2023 Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival, and required coordinated post-production delivery to support cinema exhibition, broadcast, and digital distribution across multiple territories.
Role
Post-production supervisor, stereo and surround sound mixing and mastering engineer. Commissioned directly by the film’s directors and producers. Responsibilities included oversight of the full post-production process, ensuring all elements were complete and compliant before creating the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) for theatrical screening. Preparation of stereo HD screeners for non-cinema exhibition, and coordination with cinemas and projection teams to ensure correct delivery and playback.
Outcome
The film screened successfully in cinemas across the Caribbean, North America, Europe, and Asia and was broadcast nationally in Trinidad and Tobago during the 2025–26 holiday period. It secured additional sponsorship and is scheduled for digital release on international streaming platforms. In parallel, remastered Panazz audio releases experienced renewed audience engagement, extending the project’s impact beyond the film.

Champs In Dolby
Context
Champs in Dolby was an independently led proof-of-concept initiative developed to demonstrate how Steelpan Panorama could be recorded, mixed, and presented in immersive audio and cinematic exhibition. At the time, no established standard existed for mixing Steelpan Panorama in Dolby Atmos®, and no prior public cinema presentation of this kind had taken place. The initiative was timed to coincide with the Carnival season, when engagement with Steelpan is at its highest.
Role
Project lead, Dolby Atmos® mixing and mastering engineer, and post-production co-ordinator. Graham initiated the project independently, working directly with Dolby Laboratories in London to develop the first immersive mixing approach for Steelpan Panorama in Trinidad and Tobago. He oversaw immersive audio production, prepared the cinema-ready DCP, facilitated stakeholder listening sessions in Trinidad, and coordinated delivery and playback with the cinema and projection team, personally underwriting the screen rental to ensure the public screening took place.
Outcome
The screening took place at the country’s only Dolby-certified cinema and was attended by Steelpan practitioners, audio researchers, and sector stakeholders. The project provided a shared listening environment at scale and informed subsequent discussions around immersive recording standards, exhibition formats, and future development of recorded Steelpan repertoire.
The Samaroo Jets:
DHAT, Morning Star of Lopinot
Context
This project involved the remastering and re-presentation of selected recordings by the Samaroo Jets, an ensemble widely regarded as foundational to modern Steelpan performance and arrangement. Commissioned by Sanch Electronix Limited, Trinidad and Tobago’s most established Steelpan and cultural recording label, the project aimed to extend legacy catalogue material into contemporary release formats.
Role
Stereo remastering engineer and Dolby Atmos® mixing and mastering engineer. Responsibilities included preparing historic recordings for immersive and stereo release, ensuring consistency across formats, and delivering platform-compliant masters suitable for international streaming services and long-term commercial use.
Outcome
The recordings were released across major streaming platforms, including Dolby Atmos-enabled services, increasing the visibility of Steelpan repertoire within immersive audio environments. The project contributed to renewed attention on the musical legacy of Jit Samaroo and demonstrated the viability of presenting historic Steelpan recordings to contemporary audiences without compromising musical integrity.
Moments: (UTT / WeCapture)
Context
Moments is a compilation album that brings together eleven Steelpan recordings captured over a fifteen-year period by WeCapture, the University of Trinidad and Tobago’s official Steelpan recording and archiving initiative. Funded by UNESCO, the project required consolidation of material originally recorded under differing conditions for both archival preservation and international release.
Role
Album mastering engineer. Commissioned by the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) through the WeCapture initiative. Responsibilities included preparing recordings to a consistent technical and musical standard, ensuring suitability for long-term archival retention while meeting current delivery requirements for public distribution.
Outcome
The album was released internationally via digital platforms, serving both as an archival record and a public-facing compilation. The project supports preservation of Steelpan performance practice while making historically significant recordings accessible beyond institutional archives.
